The organization
Olchani Maasai Community
Today, the Maasai face forced sedentarization in Kenya and the loss of their land in Tanzania. To support them, it is essential to develop projects that protect their way of life and their environment, while ensuring their survival in the face of these challenges.
The creation of the association

My experience among the Maasai transformed my perception of the world and humanity. Their warmth and welcome, despite their apparent poverty, touched me deeply. Contrary to Western criteria, they possess an inestimable wealth of social ties, humility and ecology, living in harmony with nature.
The Maasai contribute to biodiversity by maintaining interactions between their herds and wildlife. Protecting their traditions also means preserving the wildlife that surrounds them. Their way of life is essential to maintaining the balance of ecosystems.
Why help them ?
Helping the Maasai and root peoples is essential to preserving our respectful connection with nature. Their ancestral knowledge, passed down from generation to generation, represents an invaluable resource in the face of today’s environmental challenges. By protecting this knowledge, we can not only support their culture, but also learn sustainable practices that will promote harmonious coexistence with our planet for future generations.
However, the Maasai are facing increasing difficulties due to the end of their nomadic lifestyle and the impacts of climate change. The fragmentation of their land is hampering their ability to support their herds, making them vulnerable to increasingly frequent droughts. This disrupts not only their autonomy, but also the balance of the surrounding ecosystems, forcing them to adapt to difficult realities while maintaining their precious link with nature.
The concrete actions we set up
There are a multitude of projects to discover and support, each offering a unique opportunity to make a difference. We have chosen to focus our efforts on three priority areas, which in our experience are the pillars of our business. These projects reflect our commitment to making a lasting, positive impact.
Help make them a reality, by giving your support according to your means. Together, we can make a difference and contribute to a future of greater solidarity and respect for local communities.
Water
Solving one of their biggest problems: finding drinking water for themselves and their herds.
Nature
Remedy food shortages by reforesting and cultivating family plots.
The women
Fight against female circumcision and for the emancipation of women, the lifeblood of Maasai society.
